LSU library gets makeover

Wow. I seems like only weeks ago that I was saying that I didn't like the LSU library site and that it was unbecoming of a school of its size.... actually, I think that was weeks ago.

But now, speak of the devil, they've changed everything! Go over and have a look; it's really nice.

Wow I can't I believe I forgot this

As far as I know, ULM's Reclaiming Our Campus web page has always looked like this:

I remember seeing it before I even came to work here. How I forgot all about it, I don't know.

Small is good.

Just a thought I want to get down before I forget about it...

The last time we had a meeting, I said that I didn't like it when whole pages were devoted to small bits of information, and Mike said that he didn't like huge pages full of stuff. Now I think I understand. A tiny amount of content can occupy an entire page: it works if the text area is small too. It frames it and makes it look neater. So then it's all right to split things up into more pages, like here at Tech:
See what I mean?. Quite actually, I really like Tech's site a lot....

(so yes, for the record this whole paragraph is about content and navigation and not the just looks of the page; one makes the other possible)
